About Me
I'm an American journalist and researcher focused on geopolitics and politics in post-Soviet regions. I recently completed my Master's in International Relations at the University of Glasgow, where my dissertation examined how Transnistrian political elites adapted their narratives and information environment in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the 2025 energy crisis.
I received my BA in History from the University of Oregon, where I began writing for the Daily Emerald. In Glasgow I served as Opinion Editor at The Glasgow Guardian, overseeing weekly production, editing contributors, and covering international politics.
My work focuses on how states and political actors use media, messaging, and narrative to manage legitimacy under pressure. I'm currently based in Portland, Oregon, reporting and writing on Eurasian politics and international security.
