Transnistria and the Politics of Information:

I am currently developing reporting work that explores how citizens in Transnistria navigate news, trust, and belonging in a media landscape shaped by both Russian and local state narratives. The project builds on my postgraduate research but shifts the focus toward everyday experience especially how ordinary people interpret information and uncertainty in a region defined by political ambiguity.

Broader Reporting Interests:

My work looks at how identity, legitimacy, and information intersect across post-Soviet and borderland regions. I am interested in stories that reveal how individuals make sense of power and community under constrained or contested conditions. This can be through local media, education, or any informal networks.

I am currently developing a freelance pitch about Transnistrian media perceptions and access for international outlets. I plan to conduct interviews in Moldova and Transnistria with support from a local fixer
